NJE FDP Calculator

• The Window of Circadian Low (WOCL) is the period between 02:00 hours and 05:59 hours.
• Within a band of three time zones, the WOCL refers to the gateway time. Beyond these three time zones, the WOCL refers to gateway time for the first 48 hours after departure from the gateway time zone, and to local time thereafter.
• If 2 consecutive WOCL's in a row, Minimum rest becomes 36 hours with 2 local nights off.
• If 3 non-consecutive WOCL's in a tour, Minimum rest becomes 36 hours with 2 local nights off after the 2nd WOCL.

• If you start with Hotspare, the showtime is the start of the FDP, hence this calculator does not need to take this into account
• Hotspare starts 30 min after on-blocks (45 min for LSZH and LSGG)
• Max 3 hours hot spare if another flight is scheduled or it is an unsuitable hot spare aerodrome
• Max 8 hours if no other flights scheduled
• Scheduled flight after hot spare only if 30 min after end of hot spare
• Off blocks time after hot spare: 30 min from activation or 60 min after show time or 75 min after showtime of a new aircraft (add 15 min for the global)

• STBY@HM is not included because it only counts towards the 7 day accumulated Duty Limitation
• Max 12 hours consecutive
• Activation via phonecall only
• Max 20 hours between start Stby and end FDP
• Activation is at WOCL notification or show time if outside WOCL
• Rest location must be within 45 min of show location

• Technical failure
• ATC delay
• Parking denial
• Weather issues
• Late pax arrival
• New booking after crew showtime

• The FDP contains a break of at least 3 hours
• 15 min post flight into break or 30 min if break is 6 hours or more
• The normal preflight is reduced by 15 min with break if refueling is needed and 30 minutes is no refuel needed
• < 6 hours, break should be in a comfortable location where you can adjust temperature and light and is not open to the public
• > 6 hours you need a suitable rest location like a hotel
• Max 2 sectors before a break and max 1 sector after a break
• Max 10 hours duty time before a break or after a break and total max 20 hours.

• In safari browser, go to the tap "Share" button at the bottom of the screen. It's the icon that looks like a square with an arrow pointing upward.
• In the Share menu, scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen. This looks like a box with a "+" in the middle.
• In the next screen, you can edit the name of the FDP calculator if you want. Then, tap "Add" in the top right corner.
• The FDP calculator will now be saved to your home screen as an icon, similar to an app. You can open it anytime, even without an internet connection the calculator works.
